Business Analyst - Global Credit Company - £40,000 p/a - Leeds - City, Leeds, United Kingdom, LS1


The Solution Consultant will be aligned to a virtual team based within the client software delivery division. The Business Analyst will be responsible for taking the lead during the design phase and supporting the Project Manager throughout the project with any technical queries.

There is very much a focus on Software Delivery in this role, with a consultative approach to configuring and testing of client software solutions.

  • The Solution Consultant will support the Senior Solutions Analyst/Solutions Analyst configuring and testing of client software solutions for the purpose of application processing, client management and multi bureau management.

  • Consulting with clients on best use of DecisionMetrics software to meet their business needs, driving out business requirements and translating these into a functional specification

  • Capture and document client business/systems requirements to meet with their business strategy
  • Design solutions within DecisionMetrics software to meet clients business requirements
  • Support the Senior Solutions/Solutions Analysts to Configure solutions within DecisionMetrics software
    to meet client business requirements, following best practice to ensure project deliveries are of quality
  • Support the team and perform testing of the software as required, ensuring all requirements are catered for and coordinating tasks with other internal teams
  • Review unit and system testing of the client solution documented and executed by the team, also perform execution of testing as required
  • Prepare, lead and run client workshops for deliveries/BAU to complete strategy design, interface design and testing workshops as applicable
  • Design solutions that adhere to SDLC project documentation
  • Support the Project Manager/Solutions Delivery Manager with any key design/ad hoc queries from
    Clients and 3rd parties
  • Lead the delivery of client changes and small projects, following PRINCE2 methodology
  • Provide training to clients for use of products on delivery
  • Feed into internal product enhancements and provide feedback on functionality and usability
  • Provide support to clients throughout the project and post-delivery to ensure good working relationships are maintained
  • Able to investigative, diagnose and solve complex business/technical issues in deliveries/BAU and
    supporting more junior members of the team with their investigations
  • Lead/own change requests and support completion of impact assessments
  • Support the Project Manager/Solutions Delivery Manager throughout client deliveries and BAU, mentoring the more junior members of the team with tasks/queries
  • Delegate design/build/test tasks to Senior/Solutions Analysts across the team, monitoring the
    progression of the tasks to ensure completion
  • Provide support into BAU clients including change requests and query/issue resolutions
  • Participate and review in the completion of the project plan by the Project Manager, highlighting any associated risks
  • Lead/participate in UAT calls/defect management sessions. Any defects raised which are in Project Scope should be carefully reviewed and solved.
  • Participate in the handover of client deliveries from pre sales to project delivery, ensuring client
    requirements are possible to meet
  • Provide Sales support where required, providing consultancy on DecisionMetrics products
  • Proficient with DecisionMetrics software and able to support others on queries and work to find answers if unknown
