a Business Analyst to work on the design phase of the Target Investment Model (TIM) Programme. The programme aims to simplify and streamline product offering for its Unit Linked and With Profits business. Part of the new Target Investment Model is the delivery of an ACS ("Authorised Contractual Scheme") solution, the UK version of a Tax Transparent Fund, envisaged to deliver a range of building block funds for multi-asset portfolio asset allocation.
The purpose of this role is to lead the Investments, Product and Target Operating Model (business process) analysis and requirements gathering for the Front, Middle and Back Office operations of the group. This is a business analyst role where the identification and understanding of the investment product and end to end process of an asset manager is key. The scope will also business process analysis and design relating to assets remaining outside the ACS, to ensure that those processes are fit for purpose and are unaffected by the introduction of the ACS.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for the successful delivery of the requirements specifications needed to deliver design workstream objectives. The output of the will feed directly into the product set-up, operational implementation and transition so will require close cooperation with other workstreams across the programme.
The Business Analyst will be engaging with business teams, senior stakeholders and other workstreams to help ensure that ACS product Features are agreed and defined in accordance with timelines. In addition to working on the ACS product features, the business analyst will work with internal and external investment managers and teams both on the proposed product and supporting operating models to facilitate delivery. A key delivery component is the Investment Office Target Operating Model for dealing in and out of the ACS, cash management and derivatives. The activities will include, but not be limited to, documenting and agreeing requirements specification for new building blocks, process models, reviewing legal documentation, define and document investment oversight and front office requirements and resultant processes.

Responsibilities / daily activities will include but are not limited to:
*Assistance with the production of key documents:
oACS Prospectus and sub fund schedules,
Risk limits, etc
Other product features that feed directly into the ACS Prospectus
oExternal and internal ACS Investment Manager requirements specifications
oOversight process on external investment managers
oACS specific TOM, and
ouser requirements and process outlines to support agreed TOM
oBusiness processes for assets out of scope for the ACS but in scope for TIM
*With the objective of producing the business requirements perform interviews, analysis document, run workshops, define or record business process, undertake walkthrough day in the life prototyping scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
*Critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
*Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal parties to analyse information needs, functional requirements, existing capabilities and feasibility. With the objective of delivering a clear implementation framework.
*Using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies
*Working independently and with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers
*Driving and challenging business unit and external parties on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
*Leveraging strong analytical skills required to gain a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into applicable operational requirements.

Demonstrable experience in providing Business Analysis skills within projects is essential as is a proven track record in the following areas;

This role is ideally suited to someone who can demonstrate:
Skills & Experience:
*Strong BA with business stakeholder mgmt. (5 years' experience)
*Investment allocation/front office experience in a change capacity
*Fund Product literature
*Transformation/ large scale projects
*Good organisational and prioritisation skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deliverables
*Fund set up Tax transparent funds (UK ACS, Irish CCF and/or Lux and Swiss FCP) or other regulated CIVs (UK OEICs)
*Investment operations or Fund Administration / accounting (experience of Alternative Investments beneficial)
*Effective problem-solving skills
*Ability to build good relationships internally and externally
*Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
*Excellent MS Office skills, particularly with MS Excel and Visio
