We are looking for a graduate with a strong IT/Computer Science background to work for a Global Financial markets systems company.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is keen to develop into a Business Analyst or Project management within the Financial markets Systems field.
You will need a passion for customer satisfaction, obsession for accuracy, and a blend of technical and customer interaction skills with a drive for excellence.
In this role you will learn how to use Excel, VBA, XML, FIX Protocol, HTML, FTP protocols, and CRM - Jira. Any exposure to those applications would be highly preferred.
We are seeking an individual who is well organized, analytical and has experience working directly with the clients, who also has strong interest in financial markets and appetite for learning new technologies.
This position is the first point of contact for data conversion and pre and post-live follow up, and is the starting point for a promising career in our Professional Services. - The role involves working on set-up and system configuration of the client's infrastructure with regard to installation of Trading Operations Systems - Analyse client's files and gather the necessary requirements; - Write technical and business requirements specifications; - Develop file transformation modules using XML-based development tool; - Perform post-development QA tests in UAT environment; - Assist clients in their UAT process and troubleshoot issues and bugs; - Prepare Production environment for new transformed files upon client's UAT sign-off. - Act as a first point of contact for any post-production issue escalations. - Manage client's priorities and provide accurate progress reports to the clients and senior management. - Maintain regular communication with the client, promptly and accurately answer their queries via e-mails or phone. - Maintain an accurate record of produced transformation modules Person Specification: Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience required Client facing experience Excellent writing and spoken English skills, ability to communicate confidently by phone and e-mails Strong interest in technology and aptitude to learn new development tools
