  • The Cost Manager will functionally report to the EMEA Capital Management Lead. This function will work closely with Real Estate Development & Planning, Project Accounting, Procurement, Facilities Management and Regional Management. Key stakeholders are based in Jersey City, USA; London, UK; and Bengaluru, India
  • The successful candidate should be prepared to assume more responsibility with time. Demonstrating leadership skills will be rewarded with challenging tasks
  • Provide Estimating / Reporting Support for the Capital Projects Team during the Project Planning, Execution and Turnover Phases. Prepare financial input required for Capital Planning
  • Provide proactive financial advice and analysis to Corporate Real Estate teams across the project
  • Look for cost savings opportunities across all aspects of projects and hold stakeholders accountable to remain within budget and schedule
  • Prepare and maintain accurate market cost data and benchmark information
  • Supervise and manage external Cost Management support from consultants, taking ownership of internal reporting
  • Manage and mentor more junior members of the team supporting the development of their career
  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying / Cost Engineering or a related field
  • RICS qualified with minimum 3-5 PQE
  • Broad understanding of commercial construction industry practices, a variety of forms of construction contracts, and prime/subcontractor level of cost estimating
  • Strong analytical skills, impeccable attention to detail, highly organized and excellent follow-through
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong networking skills to establish contacts within Real Estate and partnerships with other divisions
  • Ability to organize own time and work independently, without close supervision
  • Courage to challenge current practice and initiative to suggest new ways of working
  • Ability to work in a team based environment and to interface with all levels of employees
  • Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, driving consensus and influencing outcomes
  • Proven skills with MS office products (particularly Excel) and a desire to learn new systems
