This is a broad ranging role that will allow you to grow your Credit Risk Analytics and Data Infrastructure career through working on varied projects at a growing bank. This role will offer a nice blend of technical and commercial challenges; it calls for a SAS/SQL expert with strengths in Data Analysis and Processing but also with Portfolio Analytics and MI experience in a Credit Risk environment.

You will be the subject matter expert within Risk on the Data Warehouse and risk owned data repositories. You will also lead the centralised Credit Risk reporting function and support strategy development across all portfolios through the maintenance of analytical capabilities and the production of Data, MI and analysis.

THE ROLE:

  • Analyse and process in-house and agency data including creation and maintenance of Credit Risk data for Modelling, Strategy and Reporting teams
  • Own development and delivery of cenrtalised Credit Risk MI reports
  • Analysis of portfolio data, driving insights and contributing toward data driven strategic decisions and portfolio profitability
  • Manage and grow a small team of data specialists
  • End to end ownership over projects, with an opportunity to focus on projects you prioritise / prefer
  • Extensive stakeholder engagement including internal teams, external stakeholders, senior management and director level

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Educated to degree level (minimum) in a numerate subject
  • Expert SAS user with extensive data manipulation experience and the ability to draw meaningful insight and produce analytical recommendations to influence Credit Risk business strategy
  • Experience working within a Credit Risk Analytics environment
  • Experience of working with a large Datawarehouse environment (Such as Teradata or Oracle)including large dataset
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder experience
  • Team management experience preferred
