Location: West Midlands

Salary: up to £40,000

About the Credit Support Manager role:

As the Credit Support Manager you will have an exciting opportunity to develop both your technical and client servicing skills in an established but growing challenger environment.

You will ensure all opportunities are assessed at an early stage and processed through to credit sanction efficiently by completing information packs. Specifically providing the detailed financial analysis that supports the opportunity.

As Credit Support Manager your responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Review of financial data from SME's, producing thorough, accurate, written analysis
  • Identify, manage and resolve key credit issues in support of formal submission to Credit Committee
  • Work with business development team and borrowers to extract relevant information to analyse and add to credit submissions
  • Support of the regional Head of Credit in deal structuring and sanctioning
  • Understanding and interpreting complex, financial information, translating into the Information Pack for presentation to formal Credit
  • Taking an active role in Deal Forums and Credit Committee, managing a deal through its life cycle from inception to completion

Essential Skills and Competencies of the Credit Support Manager

The ideal candidate will have skills/knowledge of:

  • 3 years + background in one or more of either: (1) Commercial and Corporate business and lending; (2) Leveraged finance or structured finance banking or (3) a Credit analysis experience, encompassing good knowledge of risk
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Be efficient and accurate under pressure
  • Will have a deep understanding and a passion for financials and business
  • Must be able to adapt, be flexible and rise to a challenge within an often changing and fast-paced environment
  • Must have worked in a customer facing environment
  • Good Excel, Word skills
  • Accuracy and a high level of numeracy in relation to financial analysis.
  • Highly skilled at spreadsheets; ideally with some financial modelling experience
