Finance Assistant - Credit Control

£16,000 - £21,000 + a great benefits package

Manchester city centre

12 month fixed term contract

We're looking for an experienced credit controller to join the finance team, within the Customer Service Centre. Our credit control team play a key role in driving the commercial performance of our business. If you've the empathy you'll need along with the ability to consistently meet challenging targets, we can offer you the chance to start a career with a business that puts people at the heart of its strategy.

As a credit controller you'll:

  • Chase payments and negotiate payment plans to help customers meet their obligations
  • Monitor instalment plans and make sure payments are made in line with the set time scales
  • Collaborate with operations teams to provide the best possible overall service
  • Use Excel to track accounts and payment plans

This role would suit people who have:

  • Experience in a consumer credit control environment
  • Great accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables and Vlookups
  • Great communication, negotiation and problem solving ability
  • Great customer service skills, maintaining an empathetic approach to customers at all times
