BTG Accounting and Finance has been engaged by a leading entrepreneurial organisation in the recruitment of a Financial Controller for their City Centre Head office.

The Role:

As Financial Controller, you will be in a pivotal role within the business, engaging with both the Commercial and Transactional sides of finance, providing a conduit to the board and helping drive organisational efficiencies and acquisitions.

My client is looking for the Financial Controller to create robust and effective internal controls to support the organisations growth strategies while also growing out a finance team which is earmarked to reach a size of 16 heads, ranging from your direct reports of 4 divisional team leaders across, transactional finance and Credit Control / Invoicing. Currently my client is trending as one of the top 10 fastest growing organisations in the UK.

This is an exciting role, and an opportunity to land at a fast paced, acquisitive business with growth plans across 2019 and 2020.

There is massive growth in the Manchester head office and you will be responsible for the wider finance function including:

  • Board Level Engagement on acquisition targets
  • Cost saving analysis & organisational efficiencies rationalisation
  • Supervision of monthly management accounts / financial accounts and supporting this process
  • Recruiting and developing a new finance team
  • Managing a busy transactional finance team

My client is looking to bring on board a talented Financial Controller, who has the ability to provide detailed and accurate information to be used at board level. You will be the commercial outlet of finance, and the ideal candidate will be embedded within each party of the organisations teams. You will be tasked with adding value, company wide and growing out the finance team as you drive towards a directorship.
