Fixed Income Quantitative Developer/Architect (Python)

My client is a leading global investment house with an exemplary track record. They are looking to hire an exceptional Quantitative Developer to join their Fixed Income team. The team are responsible for development of Pricing, Trading and Risk system (Valuation, Risk, PnL Predict/Explain, Scenario Analysis platform) and the integration of our models/analytics, market data, scenarios and trades / positions into this system for the Fixed Income business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate will be primarily involved with the development of core architecture from real time trading and risk management systems for proprietary trading in Fixed Income, to implementation of platforms and various Front Office development e.g. trade/position onboarding
  • Additional responsibilities may include:
    • Strategy/Tool development with Senior Portfolio Managers
    • Development of core architecture in computing Risk and PnL Predict/Explain for real-time reporting
    • Full-Stack development and management of the full development workflow, from requirement elicitation to production roll out and testing to address a number of business issue
    • Assist in defining and driving long-term strategy of next-generation UI/UX platforms

Background / Experience:

  • Technical education should include an Undergraduate or Advanced Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics degree from leading university.
  • 2+ years' experience designing and building end-to-end software/architectural solutions


  • Programming experience in scripting (e.g. Python, Perl, Ruby, Smalltalk, etc) and compiled languages (C++ for Windows or Linux)
  • (Broad and extensive knowledge of the software development process and its technologies
  • Commitment to excellence and a strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated with a desire to work in a hands-on collaborative environment
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities

Additional Desirable Skills / Experience:

  • Experience as a software architect on high-performant architecture
  • Experience with cloud and container platforms
  • Some background knowledge of any or all of the following: Govt Bonds, Bond Futures (and Options), Inflation Linked Bonds, Interest Rate Swaps, Deposit Futures (and Options), Basis Swaps, Swaptions, OIS Swaps, Caps/Floors, FX Derivatives
