Fund Manager Assistant - Market Leading Stockbrokerage

The Model Portfolio team is responsible for the management and growth of our client's range of discretionary fund services and the role provides support for the Portfolio Managers on the day-to-day basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate seeking a career within investment management, providing direct exposure to the front office.

The candidate will be required to comply with the rules and regulations of the Financial Conduct Authority and any other relevant regulatory bodies.


  • Assisting in the monitoring of portfolios and the implementation of investment decisions
  • Analysis to support investment decision making, implementation and risk management
  • Daily booking of trades, monitoring trade blotters, marking of positions to ensure accurate P&L calculation and monitoring cash positions
  • Attending and providing administrative support for regular Investment Committee meetings as well as external stakeholders
  • Assist the analysis of portfolio performance and the preparation of marketing material
  • Liaise with several in-house departments and third parties with respect to the portfolios and systems
  • Provide administrative support, assist the preparation of management reports and handle both internal and external queries
  • Compliance always with regulations as well as internal policies and procedures


  • Graduating or recent graduate with 1 to 2 years relevant work experience
  • Excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision
  • A methodical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Technical, analytical skill set with attention to detail
  • Team focused, effective working with others
  • Passion for the investment management and financial markets
  • Willingness to develop undertake relevant exams i.e., CISI Level 4 and 6, CFA
  • Proficient in Microsoft office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience in coding and knowledge of Bloomberg or Reuters terminals a plus
