Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Flexible Benefits

Working Hours: 37.50 per week

Autonet Insurance: Largest independent insurance van broker in the UK by market share.

Carole Nash: Renowned motorcycle insurance specialist operating within the UK and Ireland.

Swinton Group: Leading UK personal lines broker focused on motor and home insurance, with caravan, motorhome, motorbike and commercial specialist lines.

What's happening?

Ardonagh Group recently acquired Swinton Insurance and formed a division called Atlanta Group that includes Swinton, Carole Nash & Autonet. This has resulted in a huge period of significant change and transformation for all 3 companies.

What to know about this role?

The Risk Manager role will operate autonomously across the Atlanta Group and will be responsible for the implementation delivery and management of the Groups Risk Management Framework.

The role will divide itself in the areas of: Enterprise-wide risk Management Framework (ERMF), Governance & Reporting, Internal Audit, Planning & Training, Stakeholder Management and Personal Development (for more details, please request a job description).

You will manage stakeholder expectations at board and senior leadership levels, it's key to develop good working relationships with them to work efficiently. Your role will be based in Manchester, but there will be occasional travel across Altrincham and Stoke.

Who do you report into?

You will report into the Atlanta CRO (Chief Risk Officer). The CRO has joined the business recently and comes from an insurance brokerage background in an organisation that is highly acquisitive.

A down to earth manager that enjoys working collaboratively and trusting his team to do what they are best at. Their approach is the opposite of micromanagement, they set expectations at the start and let you develop your working style.

What projects will you be working on?

The 3 key projects you will work on are:

  1. Rolling out and implementation of the Group Risk Management Framework across Swinton, Carole Nash & Autonet.
  2. Develop internal relationships across Ardonagh & Atlanta groups.
  3. Become a Super User for the new Risk Management Software (developed in-house)

What skills & experience do you require?

You will have experience in a risk management role in a regulated environment

You will have experience working with a risk management software

Ideally have a qualification from the Institute of Risk Management (IRM)

Excellent attention to detail

Great interpersonal skills to communicate at different levels
