  • Lead the Finance Department of 5 people to develop a highly functioning team that delivers an excellent, proactive support service to a rapidly evolving service business;
  • Develop the structure of the Finance Department to effectively deliver the required service to the business, ensuring effective interfaces with Commercial and Operations;
  • Oversight of all finance operations, maintaining appropriate monitoring and controls to ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting;
  • VAT reporting and submissions; oversight of Corporation Tax analysis and R&D tax credit claims;
  • Management of cash-flow in a challenging growth environment;
  • Update and implement appropriate financial policies and procedures as required;
  • Prepare and present monthly management and annual statutory reports for the group businesses;
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting;
  • Financial modelling to reflect proposed business opportunities;
  • Manage the annual audit process.
  • Excellent, proactive communicator, able to interface at all levels in the organisation, including presentations/discussions at Board level;
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • Advanced ability with MS Office tools, especially Excel and Access. Comfortable manipulating SQL databases, including writing and deploying SQL queries;
  • Superior attention to detail, as well as demonstrable critical thinking and problem solving skills;
  • Be highly adaptive and welcoming to change;
  • Highest level of integrity.
