Currently working with a leading professional services company based in the City of London, who provide cloud based fund administration services and software for the alternative investment industry. They are looking to hire a Head of PMO, to develop standards, quality controls, and methodologies for project and implementation management across professional services globally.

As Head of PMO you will be brought on to:

To develop standards, quality controls and methodologies for project and implementation management across Institutional & Investment Management (I&IM) Professional Services globally.

Ensure greater consistency across all projects & implementations within I&IM, increasing levels of project maturity & client satisfaction. In addition the implementation of improved systems, reporting and metrics within I&IM Professional Services department to enable more effective and efficient management of consulting resources.

Role reports to Global Head of Professional Services, and works with the Professional Service management team to support them in delivering consistent high quality projects & implementations. Role includes people management of any project managers within I&IM Professional Services


Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven and demonstrable experience of delivering significant client implementation projects with the investment management industry
  • Experience of working in a professional services consultancy environment, either in a management position or as senior project manager / programme manager

  • Broad knowledge of Investment Management software

  • Investment management industry experience

  • Good general knowledge of current hardware and software technologies

  • Strong judgement, risk & issues management, and problem analysis techniques
  • Ability to troubleshoot details while maintaining the "big picture" view
  • Ability to manage high pressure client situations and build trust with the clients

  • Ability to prioritise multiple simultaneous issue

  • Ability to present and communicate at a senior stakeholder level (internally & externally)

  • Ability to synthesise and communicate complex technical, product and business issues

  • People management experience

  • Self-motivated, "Find a way to get it done" attitude

  • Outstanding time management skills and attention to details

  • Formal qualifications project management qualification in PRINCE2, Agile or PMP
