The role and the team

As one of the UK's biggest and most successful insurers, Direct Line Group recognises how crucial pricing excellence is for winning in a competitive marketplace. As a pricing lead, you'll use a combination of data analysis, statistical modelling, customer and industry insight to deliver best-in-class pricing to millions of customers and to maintain and grow DLG's competitive edge.

This year we've launched our exciting new technology platform and restructured our whole way of working to adopt agile approaches championed by Silicon Valley trailblazers like Spotify & Google. We've removed hierarchy within our roles, to free our people up to get things done and to deliver on projects as part of a multi-disciplined squad.

Our roles develop your skills and give you exposure to all areas of pricing and products. There are plenty of opportunities to progress and move between missions to deliver value where it is needed most. You'll grow your expertise on the way, as well as developing and sharing your experience, knowledge and skills with colleagues, and multiple career paths are available, either into coaching and people management or thought leadership and technical expertise. Your missions can range from understanding the latest vehicle technology to modelling flood risk to working for DLG's own independent, internal Insurtech, Darwin.

You'll work with DLG's cloud-based analytics environment and a variety of tools and models to derive deep insight from huge quantities of data. We want you to bring your experience to recommend and implement pricing changes for our customers.
