The is a fantastic opportunity for a law degree qualified / practising solicitor to join this Thames Valley based law practice as Risk and Compliance Manager, managing a small team.
Your new role
To assist in the Risk Department's overall running of compliance with the firm's anti-money laundering and risk procedures. To identify the business risks ensuring all current and future regulatory requirements are adhered to with effective controls in place. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the firm's anti-money laundering policies and other risk management procedures. Manage on a day to day basis the work of the Risk and Compliance Assistants. Proactively assist fee earning departments in AML and other compliance. Drive a standardised approach to managing risk; highlight & resolving areas of inconsistency. Assist in the administration of the firm's file review programme and the preparation of the monthly file review report. Develop good working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to support the delivery of risk management objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be either a qualified solicitor or possess a LLB Law Degree. Prior experience of working a Risk and Compliance role from within a legal practice is highly desired. The ability to work under pressure, prioritise and work to tight deadlines is essential along with possessing strong stakeholder engagement skills to; coach, mentor and manage a small team.
