We're currently looking for an experienced compliance and risk professional to join the Business Unit Control Function within Group Corporate Treasury based in London.

The BUCF developed the Risk & Controls framework to identify, assess and mitigate risk arising out of business activities. As a 1st line of defence function, the BUCF is responsible for providing independent risk oversight. Independent risk oversight includes establishing the risk management framework and associated standards, review and challenge of activities, processes & controls carried out by the first line, ensuring the effective design and operation of controls, as well as reviewing adherence to standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Group Corporate Treasury (GCT) performs the core Treasury function of arranging funding, liquidity and capital for the whole LBG. With the significant growth in the size of the Banking Group and its dream to diversify its funding base, GCT looks to raise capital/funds from across the world in multiple currencies.

Besides raising and leading capital plus managing funding/liquidity, GCT has an additional mandate to handle the compliance and operational risk in the Group's Balance sheet. GCT deals with products such as Money Market loans and deposits, interest rate derivatives (single and multiple currencies), spot and forward forex, currency options, fixed and floating rate securities and structured products.

As a Risk Manager, you'll hold responsibility for executing controls testing reviews, documenting results and sharing these results with key partners. Therefore to join us, you'll need to be delivery focussed and hold good partnering skills. Ideally you'll be part/full professionally qualified and have good power point and excel skills.

Your key Accountabilities will include-
*Regulatory change - assess impact and implement new regulation requirement relevant to GCT
*Perform CRAF (Compliance Risk Assessment Framework) on FCA Handbook and PRA Rulebook
*Forming effective working relationships with GCT teams, working in partnership with them and others as required
*Good communication and team work with other GCT and Risk/Audit business partners
*Complete risk and control assessments, conflict of interest maps, conduct risk assessments
*Provide assistance and participate in other BUCF activities as and when required
*Work in partnership with GCT teams and others as required
*Orchestrate and drive delivery of conduct and operational risk 1st line surveillance, investigate issues and advise and document accordingly
*Assist with embedding of other Group Policies.
*Produce ad hoc reports, papers and presentations to a range of internal/external audiences for use by the GCT Treasurer as and when required, e.g. Control matters for the Group Finance Director, Audit Committee etc.

You'll be deeply well-organised with acute attention to detail. You'll be ambitious with proven capability to work independently and continually calibrate priorities with minimal direct supervision and will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to translate concepts into clear steps and communicate to technical and non-technical partners at all levels. You'll be required to have strong regulatory background and capability to apply that knowledge quickly with potentially limited information. Providing excellent customer service to the Leadership Team and good team working skills are also required.

Experience working in operational risk or in a control environment would be helpful. Awareness of PRA/FCA requirements and knowledge in compliance and regulation that applies to a corporate treasury function and its associated products is essential.
