A leading global corporate and investment bank based in London is seeking an experienced Market Risk Manager (Cross Risk) to join their Cross Risk team on an initial 12-month contract.
Your new role
Your main area of work will focus on Cross Risk, Credit Contingent Market Risk, credit stress testing (particularly during regulatory stress testing) as well as responding to regulatory requests or ad-hoc work. You will define, monitor and escalate metrics related to contingent market risk, own Wrong Way Risk (in a broader manner than Country Risk) and establish and monitor limits for contingent market risk and Wrong Way Risk to reflect Senior Management's Risk Appetite. You will also perform an annual market risk limit review, conduct risk reporting and facilitate BAU activities through the development of the necessary tools. Furthermore, the role will require you to perform high-quality analysis for the Risk Management Committee and support CVA Risk Management for Volcker or BAU activities.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be highly experienced in a Market Risk role in the banking environment with detailed knowledge of different asset classes and a strong understanding of derivatives products. Your prior Market Risk experience will allow you to interact confidently with Front Office/Market Risk Managers in this role. Moreover, you will have some knowledge of counterparty risk management and related regulatory changes.
