A leading Corporate & Investment Bank based in London is seeking a Model Validation Quantitative Analyst to join their Internal Validation team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Your main purpose will be to review models developed across the bank, identifying model risk and their magnitude and delivering validation projects. You will produce technical documentation explaining the validation and present these to approval committees, alongside reviewing existing technical documentation for model development and validation (and then reproducing the developments and constructing challenger models). Furthermore, you will examine the extent to which models adhere to regulatory guidance and are fit for purpose, and make recommendations for changes. The models validated may range from Corporate and Wholesale models to Retail models, covering Market, Credit, Operational and Conduct risks, and may be used to calculate Pricing, Regulatory and Economic Capital or Stress Testing Forecasts, with potential to being subject to Basel and IFRS9 regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Quantitative Analyst specialising in Model Validation with a successful track record in modelling in the Banking sector. You will be highly proficient in SAS, producing technical documentation and conveying technical information in an accessible manner. Regulatory compliance knowledge of Basel or IFRS9 is beneficial. You will have a quantitative degree e.g. Mathematics, Engineering, etc.
