Job Purpose

To deliver a high-quality client service and customer retention approach to client relationships to enhance product sales and revenue growth with the rest of the team.

Assisting with the Bank's securities dealing service, which entails placement of execution trades with the Bank's prime broker, on an execution only basis.

Taking responsibility to complete administrative activities within the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that client instructions are duly affected by applying all standard checks and controls, coordinating with other departments including Operations / Finance/ Compliance

  • Handle client queries of day to day nature via telephone/fax/post/e-mail. Assist in resolving client problems within the team.

  • Arrange clients' FX deals, securities trading and other investment products. Ensure all regulatory requirements and controls are duly applied

  • Keep up to date with day to day activities such as:

  • Executing client instructions

  • Processing daily transactions with relevant notes discussed with the client on banks internal system, Asset+

  • Taking prompt action on all Corporate actions arising on client investments and coordinating them with the back-office team for processing.

  • Sharing updates with clients regarding the following:

  • Portfolio and liquidity positions

  • Recent market developments

  • Handling client queries in relation to their investments

  • Preparing weekly client asset comparison report for the consumption of Head Private clients, detailing reasoning for any major fluctuations.

  • Achieve a satisfactory level of knowledge of all related investment products and services offered by the Bank and keeping up-to-date with pivotal developments in relation to those products.

  • Open, close and maintain accounts in accordance with the Bank's established policies and procedures. Apply regulatory requirements such as KYC and Money Laundering Prevention procedures at all times

  • Accomplish tasks efficiently by showing concern for all aspects of the job, pay attention to detail and ensure that output is delivered at the highest possible standard

  • Research markets on a day to day basis to produce a report for the Private Clients Team to read and relay to clients

  • Initiate & prepare credit proposals renewals for loans, revolving loans and overdrafts

  • Carry out other miscellaneous work (administration)

Qualifications required

  • University degree
  • RDR Level 4 qualified

Minimum experience

  • 2 years' experience of working in a financial institution such as a bank, broker or a financial intermediary.
