Revenue & settlement manager - Reading, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, RG1
Our client is seeking an experienced revenue manager to join their wholesale market services function which facilitates the delivery of their obligations to retailers in the competitive retail market for non-household customers and up to £500m in annual revenues.
Leading the revenue and settlement function you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of revenue and cash targets by means of accurate and timely financial budgeting, forecasting and reporting of sales of our client's water and wastewater services.
You will ensure that our client monitors, controls and manages the revenue and settlement environment to ensure key revenue drivers, risks and opportunities are identified tracked and appropriately communicated to key business stakeholders for decisions to enhance their performance/manage risks.
You will be responsible for leading and developing a dedicated team and building effective relationships with key stakeholders to achieve this.
What makes this role unique?
You will accountable for the financial reporting of up to £500m in annual revenues within a complex commercial market environment. The role will be expected to lead market services engagement with the finance department and to communicate directly with senior financial and business leads to explain key revenue drivers and develop accurate and robust forecasting methodologies.
What will this role involve?
Budgeting, reporting and forecasting the financial performance of the market service function.
Development of revenue assurance and revenue forecasting capabilities and tools to ensure that our client maintains effective control of a complex market settlement environment.
Management and resolution of settlement disputes with our client's customers and the market operator.
Identification of commercial risks and opportunities arising from the market environment and providing expert analysis and insight to maximise our client's revenue and cash position.
Leading wholesale market services engagement.
To lead, manage and motivate a team of business focused professionals to deliver against all agreed goals.
What skills are we looking for?
Our client is looking for an experienced revenue manager to lead the commercial and financial development of our team and engagement with our finance colleagues.
You will ideally have a financial qualification and experience of commercial and financial management gained in complex commercial market environment.
You will have a good track record of developing tools and capability to provide revenue assurance and robust demand forecasting of our product volumes underpinning our revenues.
You will be an excellent communicator comfortable explaining complex issues in a clear and concise way to senior business leads.
This role is based in central Reading, minutes from Reading train station, offering a salary of up to £70,000 depending on skills and experience.
