Becoming a Risk & Compliance Analyst with DCC Smart Metering:
DCC must have robust internal control arrangements in place to maintain its compliance status as a regulated business. The Internal Audit and Controls team are responsible for establishing, maintaining and reporting on audit, risk and compliance related activity. This includes the operation of the Compliance Management Framework, Functional and Enterprise Risks Management, Audit activities and tracking of outcomes/ corrective actions.
Working within a team of 5, the role-holder will support the Head of Internal Audit and Controls to complete risk, compliance and audit related activities across the DCC.
*Role is currently based at Preston Brook but moving to Manchester Airport in May*
What you will do:
Coordinating of internal audit activities and reporting themes/outcomes
Validating and updating Functional and Enterprise Risks
Collating and analysing data for and completion of the DCC Annual Compliance Report
Collating and analysing data for completion of quarterly business assurance review (QBAR)
Maintaining corrective action plans/trackers and reporting progress
Developing data collection tools/methods to track historical trends, progress, and outcomes for reporting purposes
Updating and approving al of key compliance documentation including internal policies
Administering of other Internal Audit and Controls team activities as required (e.g. Gifts and entertainment register)
The function will cover a broad range of operational and programmatic activity, beyond financial auditing and extending to internal consulting services. Completing the 3LOD, it will be involved in ensuring DCC meets the regulatory requirements as the Smart Metering Communication Licence Holder.
Your experience will include:
Document and report writing for senior and executive level
Data collation, checking, analysis and reporting
Ideally some exposure to risk and / or compliance and keen to pursue this route.
Some analysis experience ideally from an energy / telco's / regulated business background
Managing multiple projects in parallel and delivering to deadline
Strong organisation, stakeholder management and communication skills
Effective communicator - both written and spoken
Ability to investigate
Ability to deliver on time
