Senior Risk Reporting Consultant - City, Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom, NE1
We've been working hard to make 'everyone better off' through doing things differently as a bank. This has involved listing just over 3 years ago and growing to over 3000 people. As we continue in our Bank's journey we are looking for a Senior Risk Reporting Consultant to join our Risk team to ensure we continue to be a safe pair of hands for our customers' and investor' money.
This role has two core elements. The first is assisting in the collation and production of the external risk management disclosures for inclusion in the ARA. The second is assisting with the internal reporting required to ensure we run an efficient and commercially focussed Risk function. In both capacities you'll work with the Head of Risk Governance, Reporting and Delivery to produce our Risk Management Report and Risk Overview for the quarterly disclosures and the ARA.
You'll assist in the production of Board and committee papers for an Executive audience so your attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, delivery focussed environment is key. We'll also ask you to assist with quarterly financial benchmarking of Virgin Money against our competitors, providing assurance that our internal processes are market leading.
To be brilliant in this role you'll need to have a head for numbers and an understanding of how a Bank like ours works. You'll need to be a qualified accountant (CA, CIMA or ACCA) with experience after qualification in a banking environment. We're looking for team players who can use their expertise and experience to help us continue to be that safe pair of hands!
RED HOT rewards:
We've lots of benefits and treats to reward you for your hard work. From the serious stuff like private medical cover, life assurance from x4 your annual salary and a double match pension scheme, to fun stuff like your Virgin Tribe card which gives you access to some seriously cool discounts across the Virgin brand and beyond.
And it's not all about money. We're a bank with a big heart. From running various fundraising events to support our charity of the year, to giving colleagues two paid volunteering days per year - we support you in giving back and making a real difference.
Our aim is to nurture a skilled, diverse and committed workforce. Regardless of your background, you can share our purpose, reach your potential and be rewarded appropriately for your contribution to our success. Working in a way that enables you to meet your commitments inside and outside of work can be fully supported at Virgin Money. If you currently have a flexible arrangement or are looking for one, tell us! We're happy to talk about it.
