Strategy Analyst - Investment Business - City, Manchester, United Kingdom, M1
As a result of a period of unrivalled growth, our client, an entrepreneurial Private Equity backed Investment firm requires a Strategy Analyst to take the lead in generating commercial value from a range of external data sources.
Reporting into the Analytics Director and CEO, key responsibilities will broadly cover 4 areas::
Analysing external data sources (e.g Credit Referencing Data, Telephony Data) and identifying how to turn such data into strategies that will generate commercial value - this will involve using multiple programming languages.
· Actively sourcing new data sources in the market - you will take the lead on this and will require you to be innovative and 'think outside the box'
· Managing and fostering all key relationships - initially you will support the CEO with this but medium-longer term will be expected to take the lead
· Responsibility for the Budget - naturally you will be able to convince the Board of any increases to the Budget you feel are necessary to maximise commercial value
Applicants must be educated to degree level (ideally in a quantitative field e.g. Mathematics/Statistics/Physics/Economics) and possess SQL coding experience (experience of other programming languages such as Python and R are an advantage too) as data analytics is a very important tool within the role. You will be analytically sound, possess an ability to assimilate new concepts quickly and a proven track record of innovative creative thinking to solve business problems. It goes without saying that you will be credible and be able to hold high level conversations both internally and externally.
This represents an unrivalled role in which the right individual can make their mark and shape key strategy decisions.
